Brittany Brown

Read about sprinter Brittany Brown and her career in track.

Brittany Brown is very successful in the world of track and field. But before she got to where she is right now, she ran at CHS. Brittany's senior season she placed second at CIF State Finals in both the 100m and 200m, so it makes sense that she holds the records at CHS in these events. For most of high school, it seemed like her better event was the 100m, but when Brittany reached college, it started to seem the opposite. In Brittany's senior year of college at Iowa State, she was third in the 200m for all of the NCAA, and her career just continued to climb from there. After college, Brittany made the USA Track and Field team and continued to improve. In 2019 she won a silver medal in the 200m at the World Championships with a time of 22.22, which was a huge accomplishment. This year, Brittany focused on the 100m at the most competitive meets. Brittany got second place on July 2nd at USATF Championships and ran a personal best of 10.90. From there she moved onto the World Championships in Budapest and made it all the way to finals on August 21st.
